Hello, this is yr Ed, with a short little note to get activated and fight for your right to cash. Not just because while they admit that they’re doing 47% less work from branches, and have closed dozens of branches, in the last four years, their fees haven’t actually moved downwards, have they?
In other words, yet another piece of grift by the banks. Why am I not surprised?
But the most important reason to keep cash around is that cash can’t just be switched off . . .
Just look at the relative chaos that ensued when the ATM network went down a while back, try multiplying that by a few weeks. Without cash around as an alternative . . .
