This Is The Duck’s Nots (sic)

On my publications on other blog/news websites, I was having trouble being able to do what I can do now on this server! Like, Subscribe, Share, and there are a few more features I’ll have to wait to unlock, but so far this move to WordPress has been a lot of win.

Best of all is that I operate the whole thing, no-one else can unplug it. (Well, my web hosting provider, but they seem to like my monthly tier fee…)

Stuff For You:

The site’s lovely and easy to navigate. You can Like each post. (Scroll down to see.) Or Share it – the share button with the [+] leads to another couple of dozens of social networks you can share to, and if you use one of those a lot and want to put it into the one-click section let me know. And you can subscribe to a newsletter that also I operate and no-one can muck around like the last one. And it has some advantages.

Quick notes for the newsletter: Only content I post locally gets into the newsletter – no worries about getting flooded by the cartoons and stuff that gets scraped from the web. When you subscribe all the other sections are shown, but the “show all” button is selected. You can unselect that and only choose the Categories (what used to be the old blog names) you want to follow. But seeing as there’s only me posting and I only manage 2 – 4 posts a week it’s probably okay to just leave the “all” button. You can always change it later anyway.

(Handy hint: Click the subscribe button again once you’re subscribed and you can select the Categories, and also elect to have a weekly digest instead of instant notifications. Choices, choices, choices…)

What Was It With The Duck’s “Nots?”

Nothing – I just didn’t want to say “duck’s nuts” because some people might get offended by the idea of duck’s nuts so I didn’t say duck’s nuts…

Now go wild – subscribe, like, share!
