I remember watching a video with Jimmy and some other Youtuber, the former laying back on a sofa like a caesar, I can’t even remember who the other was, they were discussing some project (and this was years ago back when he was a big deal but not yet the BIG DEAL he has become) and it went a bit like:

“Well,” he said in his softly-spoken way, ” I have the money so I can make it happen.”

At that moment I got his measure and I didn’t like it all that much. He was insensitive to whomever he was going to bombard with his financial power, and I think it was probably unfortunate that the video wasn’t taken down again right away.

But it looks like everyone has a wealth overdrive switch that kicks in at some critical number, and after that the power goes to their head. I can remember about a dozen such occurrences, but the only other ones that spring readily to mind are Linus, and some gamertech reviewer. And in the non-Youtube arena you can’t go past Elon and Jeff and Richard, hey?

Anyway – MrBeast’s new gameshow has come off the rails a bit and he’s in trouble, also he’s still after his co-host for grooming, so not good times for him.

I’d like it brought to his attention that if he wanted to be a top philanthropist he could do worse than send a chunk of wealth this way, I can do some good with it here. : )
