Snippet: Grid Batteries WORK!

and – I swear I’m not hallucinating – one detractor even wanted to know how much charge was in a battery before it had to be replaced, as though it was a throwaway alkaline battery.

I wish I was kidding but even the idiots in our Opposition party have similar opinions. You’d have to be a total effwit to think that way, and yet I see it everywhere and it pains me that the idiots in government opposition ARE precisely such…

Because almost every sane person with an IQ larger than their shoe size knows it, and even politicians in States that weren’t fans of renewables now agree it’s saved their power grids. In Australia we’ve been putting in batteries for a few years now, and were among the pioneers, with for a while every other installation being the biggest in the world at that time.

We need to continue with that. We have great reliable windstreams and more cloudless days than almost anywhere else in the world, Sun Cable is showing that we can export energy undersea and if we keep the costs real, will have a ready market, and that will be an important export for us in just a few years – as long as we get started now.
